Good evening & Inchallah romdhankom mabrouk,

This email is an attempt to kickoff our community again, this email is a
open invitation for people who wish the good of this LoCo..

For the last 2 years the LoCo activity was dropping slowly, today I believe
that we reach a point that we need to stand up all together to for the good
of our LoCo..

During the last period I was thinking about the ways to improve our LoCo
activities and make it easier to contribute event when there is almost
nobody available, and I came out with the ideas below..

Our main problem is that we are *not using* all our technical resources or
we are using them in the *wrong way*.. So the *1st* thing we should do
ever, is to *start the exploit* of those resources or *exploit them in a
better way*.. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me enumerate
those resources for you:

   - Wiki
   - ML
   - LP
   - LoCo Directory
   - IRC
   - Website

Let me start with our *main* & *most used* resource, the *Wiki*.. We really
have a *huge problem* with the wiki, we have exactly *274* of an *un-maintained
wiki pages!* Most of those pages are very old that no one know about them..

Before, we used the Wiki for almost everything except the mailing & the
chat (because we have this ML & IRC). Today we *need* to work on our wiki
to *organize it*..

My proposition is to *minimize* the *number* of the *BASE pages*, by *sorting
the existing pages* and *get the data that makes our BASE pages*. And
for *everything
else *(excepting the events & reports pages) it should be *archived* (at
least for now).

If we can start by organizing the wiki the way that it should be will
proceed to the next resources, because the Wiki is the *most important
resource* that we have.

But, I need to share with you my thoughts about the rest of things too:

*LP:* We need to use LP for *Codes*, *Blueprints*, *Polls* and *getting
users information* via the *API* *(I already coded a script to get our LoCo
Karma, will share it soon)*.
*LoCo Dir:* use the XML output to replace some information and embed it in
the Wiki pages as needed *(Useful for the events team)*.
*ML:* Use more often the ML to run the projects, the archive can be useful
too..
*IRC:* Have more meetings to discuss and run the projects.
*Website:* That's a thing that we should talk about after finishing the
wiki project.

The other problem is the *lack of documents sharing*.. So I'd like to
suggest that we move every thing to a *source code based files*, this way
we can use LP & bzr to share the last version of the presentations and
templates. Same thing works for graphic files..

So as a LoCo Contact, MC member and one of the LoCo leaders am asking you
to have a *1 hour IRC meeting* next *Sunday 21 Juin 2015* by *4pm* to
*discuss* the points above, *brainstorm*, create a *ToDo *and *start
working* on those projects.

Why I chose that date & time? It's Ramadan, and having night meetings is
*not* a good option I think. So let's start with this meeting than will see
what's next.

Just a final comment, based on my previous experience on the community I
know that I can't predict the number of people to be present during this
meeting.. But I know something for sure, that we *should select just one
thing to work on* *and finish *before starting the next thing.. Otherwise
we'll finish by many unfinished projects like what we did in the past,
that's why I proposed to work on the *Wiki* only right now.

Looking forward for your comments, ideas and to see you on irc next Sunday.
