empathy:
  Installed: 3.12.7-1ubuntu2
  Candidate: 3.12.7-1ubuntu2


Empathy appears also to be affected: actually seems worse than the others: the others work 100% when GTK_IM_MODULE is set as per above but empathy only works in the main window (chat windows still do not allow typing)
