I made sure that I was up to date and then rebooted, still seeing the
same behavior. I installed the debug symbols of the relevant libraries
and then attached to the empathy process with gdb. I let it run for a
bit then stopped it and did `thread apply all bt` three times in the
same process. I've attached those 3 backtraces along with the output of
`apt-cache showpkg libglib2.0-0 libfolks25 telepathy-core empathy`
