+ Install telepathy-salut, open telepathy and enable the 'people nearby'
+ option in 'accounts'.

+ Do this on multiple computers and ensure you can 'see' each other over
+ the same network segment, and that you can open a chat window and see
+ each others comments. Observe that people running 12.04 cannot receive
+ messages from any other client.

I have 5 computers:-
2x Ubuntu 11.04 - Telepathy
1x Mac OSX Lion - iChat
2x Ubuntu 12.04 - Telepathy
12.04 to 12.04 chat is fine. 11.04 and iChat is all fine.
All machines can send and receive to all machines except:-
12.04 Telepathy cannot receive from iChat or 11.04 Telepathy
All machines are on the same wireless network, and are chatting to
eachother fine. I (on 12.04) just never see anyone elses messages :(
