Any progress on this? This is the only real issue i have with gnome-shell. I would really like to see this fixed for precise.
Please let me know how to help debugging this.

Right now i assume its a bug in empathy and not gnome-shell. I hope this
is the right place to report instead of the gnome bug tracker?
