[Bug 879125] [NEW] Long text entry makes the application extend past the monitor boundaries

Public bug reported:

In a chat session, I have typed a long line of text, and it has made the
application extend past the window boundaries. I can "resolve" the issue
once it's done that by maximising and minimising the window, however,
the next time I type a long line, it does it again.
