It’s looks like something under the control of empathy instructs the
window manager to extend the history window (when open) a couple of
pixels to the right, and then again, and again, and again... step by
step.

The window grows even larger then the screen. – If I instruct the window
manager (in my case metacity) to go full-screen on that window, it
somehow loses control over the window, and it loses it’s standard window
frame, without going full-screen and still growing to the right.

The history window is still responsive (e.g. clicking on things you can
get hold of while the window is growing larger than the screen), and can
be closed (e.g. via window manger). – Once closed you can restart the
game by opening it again via Contact -> Previous Conversations.

** Summary changed:

- Empathy History Window grows infinitely (to the right)....
+ Empathy’s Previous Conversations window grows infinitely (to the right)....
