Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: empathy
When starting Empathy, the focus is on one of the chat account names and I can do a ctrl + f to search for a contact.
If I change to another random window, chat window, or another program, and changes back to empathy I can't ctrl + f to search a contact. I would then first have to use the mouse to mark a contact or chat account name, before I can press ctrl + f to search.
The right behavior would be to always have an chat account name in the contact list to have focus, when selecting the contact list window. Because then it just to hit ctrl + f to search. Even easier if you just could start to type like in Pidgin, without the need for ctrl + f first.
I use:
Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit
empathy 2.32.1-0ubuntu1.1
source: empathy
(This is my first bug-report, as far as I can remember)
