Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better.  The
deslection idea is one that would change the default behavior and I have
marked this as wishlist to mark that.  Please send this upstream to the
developers of the software using the steps found at
http://wiki.gnome.org/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME.
