[Bug 629716] [NEW] Facebook login does not work.

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

On a fresh install of Maverick, Empathy just reports:

Facebook(myemail at address)
Network Error

in the top in red. I have tried changing my Facebook password and still
nothing. I had a similar issue with Lucid 6 months ago but it cleared
when I installed Pidgin.
