Yes it is a duplicate from 631428.

Don't understand why sudo apt-get remove telepathy-butterfly should
change anything?

Have tried sudo apt-get remove telepathy-butterfly and then sudo apt-get
install telepathy-butterfly.

The Ubuntu repositories still hold Version: 0.5.14-1, so if you remove the package and reinstall you get
the same version number...with the same problem..
