I'm sorry, I don't think I was clear enough. When I say "main window", I
was referring to the contact list.

When keyboard focus is directed at the contact list, invoking the
search-as-you-type behavior, and no contact matches the search, the
window resizes to accommodate the message "Nenhuma equivalência
encontrada" ("No match found") that is displayed across the contact
list. After that, you cannot make the window horizontally smaller that
it is.

I don't think this is the same as the bug #433651, as it does not refer
to the text entry field of the message window.
