thanks for the bug report. you can hide offline contacts by pressing
ctrl+h or in the 'View' menu there is an option too. if the setting does
not save when you start empathy again can you please check if libdconf
is installed you can check that by typing "apt-cache policy libdconf0"
in a terminal
