My bug was marked as a duplicate of this one, which is fine, if you add the other commands that are not supported to the bug and thus the fix. "/msg" "/raw" "/qoute"
Additionally this one is marked as incomplete and needing info, but I see no question. I went to the bug at gnome, but I also do not see any questions to be answered.
Pedro, what questions need to be answered?
This bug is a deal breaker, I can not login into FreeNode with my registered nick name because I can not use the "/msg" command to verify the nick with my password.
What good is it for me to put in a nickname and password on the IRC account setup when it does not even properly log me in.
I want this bug fixed, so what information do you need.
If this bug continues to get ignored then I am using Xchat, because empathy can not handle the responsibilities of a IRC chat client. I will also be pushing for Xchat to get put back into Ubuntu, and will point at this bug for the reason. Ubuntu was born through IRC, how can it be acceptable to have a malfunctioning IRC client?
