[Bug 585165] [NEW] Empathy fails to connect to Yahoo

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy can connect with MSN and Facebook but not Yahoo.  Get the error
'Disconnected - Network error'.

My system details are Toshiba laptop with Wireless Broadband network connection
    Description:	Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
    Arch:		x86_64
    Empathy:	2.30.1-0ubuntu1

This is a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 desktop (not an upgrade).

Other info just in case - I have squid proxy installed and working as
the default system proxy.

Are there any tests that can be done to determine where the problem is
occurring.  I am willing to work to help test and resolve this problem.

I have seen this error in other closed bugs but have been unable to find
the solution.
