Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

Today I upgrade from Kubuntu 9.10 to 10.4. After rebooting, empathy
started up automatically, but popped up blank, didn't launch the gnome
keyring and did not have any accounts information. I added the accounts
manually, but none of my chat history from before the upgrade is
available.

my dpkg.log says that empathy was upgraded from 2.28.1.1-0ubuntu1 to
2.30.1-0ubuntu1

This is similar to Bug #469286 but my accounts stay after recreating
them. Also similar to Bug #557665, but I don't think Pidgin has
anything to do with this bug.
