I believe a record button in Empathy (as the linked gnome bug suggests)
is entirely different than the telepathy integration in Jokosher (as
described for the summer of code project). I can see that if Jokosher
gets this working well and empathy doesn't fix their bug then you could
work around it by recording from Jokosher. But they are really two
separate things.

I would prefer separate bugs for all these projects. Although I can only
speak for Jokosher myself.
