  3- I expected for empathy to connect to the msn network
  4- Instead I get an "Network error" message or a busy icon at the "Messaging and voip accounts" window with the "Connecting..." message.
  I have been getting this message for over 24h.

+ After restarting I noticed that msn was working and aim was not. I disabled my aim account and empathy connected just fine. I disabled my msn account and enabled aim and it connected.
