  It's a normal practice to add white noise to conversation pauses during
  VoIP calls. That prevent thinking, that connection is broken. Empathy
  should do it.

+ When both sides keep silence, there no sound at all in speakers. It's

+ generated noise. That increase impression, that connection stil exists.
