I'm unable to make this work, I'm afraid. I tried putting in my gmail
account details (mike at hingston.demon.co.uk), adding talk.google.com as
the server, changing the port to 5223, and adding SSL support, but got
network errors. I then tried ticking "Ignore SSL certificate errors",
and the empathy now crashes within seconds of starting. If I start it
from a terminal, I get a seg fault and a core dump.
I then manually killed the process running /usr/lib/telepathy/mission-
control-5, which took me back to not having the "Ignore SSL certificate
errors" ticked.
Empathy no starts without crashing, but I'm not connecting to gtalk.
