Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: empathy
When someone instant messages me or messages me directly on IRC. Empathy doesn't notify me of that.
Turning on notifications turns on all notifications so all chatter on IRC and instant messages that isnt good either.
So we need a more specific use of notifications that is more like the implementation in pidgin.
That is for instant messages or if your username is mentioned on IRC.
** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
