[Bug 406008] [NEW] connection hangs after streams:feature element received

Public bug reported:

on karmic, loudmouth version 1.4.3-3

Empathy would previously hang while trying to connect to my jabber
account (on a jabberd2 server -
http://codex.xiaoka.com/wiki/jabberd2:start) - worked fine with a
jabberd14 server (http://jabberd.org/).  After experiencing the same
issue with the lm-test command line client the issue appears to be in
the loudmouth library.

Raised upstream as
http://loudmouth.lighthouseapp.com/projects/17276/tickets/51-hang-when-
connecting-to-jabberd2-server.  lm-test verbose output also available
there.

Branch with patch is available: lp:~stan/+junk/loudmouth
