Hello Guillaume, thanks for helping!

I did the same thing and this time apport came up and offered to send a
report. It's in bug #318552 because I don't know how to transfer it
here. I've attached the debug log below ("EMPATHY_DEBUG=all empathy 2>&1
| tee empathy-debug.txt").

(I also marked this bug report private because the log contains email
addresses of my friends and I don't want them spread out in some Google
cache.)

I'm not sure how to check if it's the same thing. My log doesn't look
quite like that, but I may be reading it wrong. I don't know how to do
the GDB part, because empathy itself doesn't crash (it just logs me out
of Jabber).
