Are you serious?
Intrepid's package is 2.24.1-1ubuntu1 .
PPA's: Version: 2.25.2-2ubuntu1~ppa8.10+1

aptitude show gives:
Maintainer: Ubuntu Telepathy Team <ubuntu-telepathy at lists.ubuntu.com>

and all you can say is
"PPAs are not official packages, take this up with the PPA's owner."

I'm filing a bug .. you should be thanking me.
If I filed it in the wrong place all you should simply do is HELPING THE USER FIND THE RIGHT PLACE TO FILE THE BUG.

I found that something wasn't working well in empathy (2.25.2-2ubuntu1~ppa8.10+1) I took the time to advertise this problem and your statement is no help:
1. it doesn't tell me what to do and most of all how to do it (as general user I'm not supposed to be a bug filing guru).
2. it doesn't help the problem being corrected.
3. it doesn't help my will to file future bugs.
4. it's sincerely useless to me.

and I'm not going to file it anywhere else.
