I see two different bugs worth of a discussion going on here.  The
original bug report is going on about jabber problems, and one
wishlisting how it should be different.  Both are legit, but the
wishlist one should be filed separately, and if the original bug is
still a problem i should be sent upstream as per sebastiens original
request.
