running   'watch cat ~/.gnome2/Empathy/geometry.ini'  I can see the x and y change.  I know the #s would be specific to my setup probably, but the x increases by 10 everytime(including after it has hit bottom and begins moving right) and the y increases by 48(stops increasing once it hits bottom) (10 and 48 are constant if i resize or move window if that matters)
