<br>IT Professionals Meet - 16 Dec 2006<br>Minutes of Meeting<br> </div><br>Registration started at 5.30 PM with members being provided with thought provoking questionare by our Hounarable President A P J Abdul Kalam. We also obtained signature in support Free software in education from participants.
<br><br>Before the function commenced at 6.00 PM participant were served with tea and snacks. The function started at 6.00 PM and Sri Nachiketas of Hexaware Solutions rendered the prayer song.<br><br>Sri Gopalakrishnan then briefed the audience about Samarpanam and its activities. He then introduced Sri Raman Raj
M.L., and Sri Ravikumar to audience.<br><br>Sri Ramanraj, then gave his lecture on "Free Software the Swadeshi Movement of 21st Century" giving the audience a clear perspective of What free software is and How it can alone contribute to nation building. He cited several inspiring examples from lives of Guruji, Gandhiji and Richard stallaman.
<br><br>Details of his presentation can be found in the attached pdf document "kr_samarpanam.pdf".<br><br>This was followed by Sri Prakash's patriotic song, "Desame Namakku Ellam Kodukkuthu - Naamum Sirithu Kotuthu Pazaganum".
<br><br>The we had the morale boosting lecture of Sri Ravikumar on the Glory of our Indian Society, its contribution to the upliftment of ancient and modern world. His lecture included personalities who are humble, meek, unpopular but great contributors who have done so much to the upliftment of the World. It was really an inspiration for the audience present.
<br><br>(The presentation of Sri Ravikumar is over 10 MB and hence please request seperately so that we can send it to your mail id.)<br><br>This was followed by a question and answer session. Sri Gopalakrishnan then made few announcements for the audience.
<br><br>This was followed by vote of thanks and the program concluded with Santhi Mantra (Sarve Bhavanthu Sukinaha) by Venkat of Scope International.<br><br>A total of 142 participants took part in this event. We thank everyone who took part in this event and for others we kindly request you to have a look at the presentations attached to have a feel of noble things discussed.
