[உபுண்டு தமிழகம்] Tamil in Kubuntu.

Hi people

i am using Kubuntu..i wish to use tamil to type a document..so i download the 

scim
scim-gtk2-immodule, 
scim-modules-socket,
scim-modules-table, 
scim-tables-additional
ttf-indc-fonts

i am using Kate(text editor).i could not get any tamil fonts being displayed.

please help me.
