[Bug 654879] [NEW] Terminal Activity does not permit $ sudo -i

Public bug reported:

My password fails every time I try $ sudo -i from the terminal activity.
There is not warning that this operation is not permitted, it just gives
an authentication error even though the password was correctly entered.
