Deciding whether a bug is in Ubuntu-Sugar or Sugar

Hi all,
I'm obviously filling up your mailboxes with bug reports (can some fix the
double reporting with Launchpad...).

I have a question about deciding whom is at fault, I don't have real XO
hardware to compare so is the VMWare image sufficiently like the real
hardware to say "if that does it it's Sugar, if not it's Ubuntu-Sugar"?

PS. Part of my motivation for these bug reports is that my daughter
enjoyed playing on the paint program and it's difficult explain when
things just don't work....
