Upgrade to 18.04 or newer, preferably 20.04. 16.04 lost support a
year ago and will not be supported here.

Here's how the LTS lifecycle goes:

Ubuntu (proper): 5 years (16.04 goes until April 2021)
Ubuntu Flavors (including Ubuntu Studio): 3 years (16.04 lost
support April 2019).

Since 18.04 was not an LTS for Ubuntu Studio, it's only
quasi-supported through the Ubuntu Studio Backports PPA. Ubuntu
Studio 20.04 is a proper LTS, so you should *really* upgrade to
that.
