have you got any other soundcard enabled on your machine like the onboard chip? Try lspci | grep audio to find soundcards.<br />
So when there are more then one card or even midi interfaces you must set a fixed card order.<br />
<br />
Possibly you can also try gladish instead of qjackctl.<br />
