[ubuntu-studio-users] Desktop problems

Since recently upgrading to Ubuntu Studio 18.04, I no longer have any 
icons on the desktop, just the default wallpaper.

If I try to right-click on the desktop, nothing happens.

If I go to settings and try to change the wallpaper, nothing changes.

In the desktop settings, under Icons, it shows the following selected:

Home

Filesystem

Wastebasket

Removable Devices


But none of those icons appear on my desktop.


Any ideas on how to get back proper functionality of the desktop?
