[ubuntu-studio-users] file manager navigation

Hi, i often use the keyboard to navigate the file manager (alt+ direction), but this doesn't seem to work in the file manager window that pops up when i try to open or save a file from within a program (file>open etc). Is there a way these shortcuts work system wide?
