I've got an alias that displays some differences between the DE and US
keyboard layout.
[rocketmouse at archlinux ~]$ deus_of_keys
°~ "@ §# &^ /& (* )( =) ?_ ß- ´=
zy ü[ Ü{ +] *}
ö; Ö: Ä" #\
yz ;< :> -/ _?
[rocketmouse at archlinux ~]$ grep deus_of_keys $HOME/.bashrc
alias deus_of_keys='printf "°~ \"@ §# &^ /& (* )( =) ?_ ß- ´=\nzy ü[ Ü{ +] *}\nö; Ö: Ä\" #\\ \nyz ;< :> -/ _?\n"'
For example 'z' on a DE keyboard is 'y' on an US keyboard.
If something regarding the keyboard layout should went wrong, it usually
results in a fallback to the US keyboard layout.
