[ubuntu-studio-users] UbuntuStudio Whisker menu broken, need help!

Greetings,

I am a new user of UbuntuStudio_16.04. I was trying to add items using 
the menu editor & after applying the changes, the default application 
list is gone forever. cannot find most of the software packages like 
blender, darktable & ardour in the whisker menu, even the search option 
in the menu does not help. The audio video application groups are also 
missing.

I have the live USB stick. It would be of great help if someone can 
please tell me how to restore the stock whisker menu layout as shipped 
in the default ubuntuStudio desktop.
