[ubuntu-studio-users] Issue with Wine, Reaper, FstHost

Hi everyone,
After using Ubuntu Studio 12.04 faithfully for,
well.. years.. I finally decided to upgrade it. I installed Ubuntu 16.04
and then most of the Ubuntu Studio repositories on top. (The install
directly from the Ubuntu Studio iso image I made didn't work, for some
reason; probably the disc got corrupted somewhere along the line..)
Anyway, I re-installed some apps I use for VST instruments, such as
Reaper and FstHost. But FstHost doesn't install correctly and Reaper
can't find my audio signal (I use Jack).
I don't remember which
version of Wine I was using with 12.04, but the default for 16.04 seems
to be Wine-rt. I don't know if this is relevant.
I also noticed that
almost everything on this desktop has been installed in 64-bit, whereas
the 12.04 I was running was 32-bit.
Anyway, any help here much
appreciated!
brian
