Hi,

use the protocol/standard they provide and use this in combination with
the keyword "Linux" to google.

One open standard mentioned by the Wiki is NetJack
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_over_Ethernet and IIRC open AES
standards were discussed on the Linux audio user and Linux audio devel
mailing lists. IIRC Len has knowledge about this, if so, then indeed
asking on this list is a good starting point.

However, I wouldn't expect that it will work.

Software mixers provided by Linux are another issue. DAWs provide
mixers, apart from that audio drivers might provide hard ware related
mixers. AFAIK some companies provide control of mixers provided by
their hardware by web browsers.
