Hi all
i just installed Ubuntu studio 13.04 64bitand (i have been using Ubuntu
since 7.x)
i just noticed that the QT apps used the 'de' (german) language
i live in belgium (speak dutch) however i alway set every thing to english
US, so i have no id why it was set to german ??
i was able to fix this by editing the /etc/default/locale and removing all
lines except the first one ( LANG="en_US.UTF-8")
the original locale file looked like this :
LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="de_BE.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="de_BE.UTF-8"
i'm not sure, but my guess is that the 'de' in the beginning of each line
refers to the geman language ?
grtz
