spectrum analyzer for linux

i just found this amazing programm for windows: Pingui Audio Meter. it 
actually just shows the spectrum of a signal, but with a very high 
resolution. very helpfull for mastering. Its expensive: 245€! and its 
for windows. is there something equal for linux?
