Ok, In trying to solve this I remembered that I had been given an older
sound blaster card. Thinking it might be a hardware problem, I plugged
it in and man it sounds good. But after about 5 minutes of playing I
get the same connection lost warning and no sound. I restarted the box
and I have system sounds but no sound in VLC or other players. If I
restart the computer I seem to have a connection but loose it. Sometimes
system sounds and sound, sometimes only system sounds. Any help will be
appreciated here, Thanks Doug
