Getting M-Audio Delta 66 working

The idea was good:

$ ps aux | grep pulse
michael   5904  0.0  0.4 140344  8552 ?        Sl   18:15   0:00 /usr/bin/pulseaudio --log-target=syslog
michael   5912  0.0  0.1  55680  2632 ?        S    18:15   0:00 /usr/lib/pulseaudio/pulse/gconf-helper
michael   6585  0.0  0.0   5176   864 pts/2    S+   18:53   0:00 grep pulse

$ killall -9 pulseaudio 
$ ps aux | grep pulse
michael   6595  0.0  0.0   5172   852 pts/2    S+   18:53   0:00 grep pulse

But... still no sound output... :(
