Dual Boot Ubuntu Studio with Current Ibex Install

Dear New Friends,

Greetings to all. 

I hope to be a full fledged participator of Ubuntu Studio. 
Currently I run 64 bit Intrepid, and was wondering what the best/
safest/ easiest solution to my goal would be:
1) Install Studio components from repositories for Ubuntu Studio-ish
Supplementation in Intrepid?
2) Install A dual boot configuration of Intrepid and Studio?
3) Do a full conversion to Studio 8.10 or 8.04?
   a) Is it worth trying out 8.10 right away, I hear of serious
bugaroo's?
