I try to do my best here in Finland in Finnish.

http://wiki.ubuntu-fi.org/Ubuntu_Studio
http://forum.ubuntu-fi.org/index.php

My main focus is in LTSP, another Alternate Ubuntu. But I have installed
Ubuntu Studio in music lab in very same school, where they have over 100
thin clients (two servers).

Here is video about that school and Ubuntu Studio. Made in Ubuntu
Studio, of course.

Because there always will be too few people, too little time and too
much to do, keep focus very tight.

We need most stable 64 DAW.

1. Keep focus in LTS versions. Two years cycle is fast enough for this
kind of very special Ubuntu. I (we) can use every release three years.
So next release is 10.04 - we have one year to go.

2. Keep focus in RT kernel.

3. Keep focus in jack/jack2.

4. Keep focus in ffado.

5. Keep focus in Ardourd2 and Rosegarden. There are of course lots of
programs that are needed when work with Ardour2 and Rosegarden, but keep
focus in these two ones.

6. Drop everything else. Let someone else take care Video (maybe meta
package) or Graphics (maybe meta package). And I really do not care
about splash or theme or anything else in desktop. I use programs in
full screen, so desktop can be whatever.

Bottom line: Keep focus in what make Ubuntu Studio so unique and keep it
that way.

Cory - thank you very much and all the best for you, you have done so
much this far! I think I know something about your feelings, been there
with OpenOffice.org and localization process in finnish.

What I can do more?

I can test - I have now Delta 66 (desktop) and Echo AudioFire 4 (laptop)
for that and I can write more howtos in finnish, when Jaunty is official
out.

Best Regards Asmo Koskinen.
