Upgraded to Gutsy, lost all sound

I do not have system sound or anything.  I was prompted to use a command to set the default card; I tried both the built-in card and my M-Audio Ozone.  The command was asound-conf something...I can't find the exact wording anymore.



Could someone suggest a first diagnostic step?
