This is the error i get when running qjackctl

if i run qjackctl as sudo the only difference is that i dont get the
"cannot remove `/dev/shm/jack-1002' (Permission denied)"
but the rest is the same. I can see that raw1394 is loaded if i do
lsmod. I already tried changing permissions to /dev/raw1394 and I also
tried to change
sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/40-permissions.rules
KERNEL=="raw1394", GROUP="disk"
to
KERNEL=="raw1394", GROUP="audio"

same error always. I am trying to reset the bus with scanbus and
restarting the machine but no changes at all.

I am running 2.6.20-16-lowlatency kernel with ubuntu Feisty on a IBM X32
laptop.

The funniest of all is that I tried to run PureDyne live cd and the
soundcard works fine out of the box. So it can be done...

any tips will be welcome. thanks
