I need sound card advice

hi all...
 
After very pleasant recording session, I decided to upgrade my modest recording gear for the next band im recording.
 
What I have now is a delta 44, and I just need more inputs for drum purposes.  Since Im very satisfied with the reliability and sound quality of my good old 44, Id really like to stay within the delta family.
 
heres my question...is it possible within ubuntu to have 2 delta 44 at the same time?  will it be a configuration nightmare?
 
the other option within my budget is the 1010lt....but im not a fan of the rca plugs...and the specs seem lower too.
 
of course, in an ideal world, id go for the perfect delta 1010...but its just too pricey to justifiy the costs for a hobby studio.
 
any opinions?
