Until here everything looks OK

I got this also with my UbuntuStudio 32bit-Install but only if I perform
certain actions like changing the monitoring-settings in Ardour. Or if I
do stuff like starting Open Office while Ardour is playing...
BUT: I do NOT get such crashes with 64Studio on the very same laptop. So
I guess, this could be an issue with Ubuntu Studios 32bit Kernel.
Do you run a 64bit-System?

If Freebob has crashed, the Presonus must be reinitialized. If I unplug
the FW-cable, freebob restarts successfully after replugging the device.
good luck
