I use always (exept in few times)an external monitor Viewsonic connected to
my laptop Dell Inspirion 1750, in this configuration the monitor of my Dell
is Off and my Viewsonic are in ON and configured to 75Hz to avoid eye strain
With this script:
#! /bin/bash
xrandr --newmode "1280x768_75.00" 102.98 1280 1360 1496 1712 768 769 772
802 -HSync +Vsync
xrandr --addmode VGA1 1280x768_75.00
xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x768_75.00
Now in 16.04 in kdenlive with a video to large redendering I leave my
laptop working and I go away, but when I arrive later 2 hours I see my
external monitor in ON but wihout image and my external in ON with image,
and I put in the terminal xrandr and see that my external monitor are not
in 75Hz; this is very bad for my eyes, and for the time lost to repair
this, and to solve this I unistall light-locker and next install
xscreensaver, this never fail
Sorry my english I am a spanish parlant
