I'm not sure when threadirqs could be used the first time, but my RME
card isn't supported by ALSA < 1.0.24.
The module names changed for kernels > 3.[x?], ICE1712 became ice17 or
something like that, so even if current rtirq should be compatible with
old kernels, at least the config needs to be reedited.
However, IMO it's important that the 3.6.5-rt does allocate another IRQ
to the graphics. It doesn't solve my issue, but for sure it will solve
issues for many other people. perhaps it isn't the patch, but the
vanilla kernel, that does the trick.
